Foam at the Mouth
Aug 16th 2011, 08:38

Why would you want to foam at the mouth? Maybe you're pretending to have rabies or need it for a costume or just think foaming at the mouth would be fun. Here's an easy and safe chemical reaction that produces bubbles that make you foam at the mouth.

You Will Need

  • baking soda toothpaste
  • carbonate soda
  • toothbrush

What to Do

  1. Brush your teeth with the toothpaste.
  2. Enjoy the foam!
  3. When you're done, spit out the toothpaste and rinse your mouth.

How It Works

The acidic soda reacts with the baking soda to produce carbon dioxide bubbles. The bubbles are trapped by the toothpaste, leaving you with a frothy grin.
